October Memories

October 6: Grandpa and Grandma Tintle drive out to help us celebrate Dorian's 3rd birthday!

All bundled up for the first time of the season.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Dorian!

Playtime!

This picture sums up our last few months. He actually fell asleep in his high chair!

We had our own little celebration for Halloween. First we dressed up the boys- Levi was a little bee and Dorian was a frog. Then we made pumpkin bars and put them in the oven to have for bedtime snacks. Then Nathan made up some carnival games to play in the basement. I have to admit that I was a little hesitant of the idea, but everyone, including myself :), had a blast. Dance party, pop bottle bowling, leaf rubbing and an obstacle coarse.

October 13-25

Another trip out to South Dakota. This time with the whole family. Nathan and I postponed out trip out to Hawaii together, but he decided at the last minute to still attend the conference. It was a long stretch to be away from home again, but it was where we needed to be...with family.

Trips to SD

I spent the first week of September and the first week of October at the Lamfers' house helping with various needs and finding emotional support after Rodney's diagnosis and hospitalization. It was the first time I left the boys, but they survived quite well without me. :)

On Labor Day we went to the Sioux Falls Zoo together. I missed my boys on that day because I knew they would have liked to be there as well. We were also able to go to hear the Newsboys at Life Light that weekend.

October was the Golf Benefit that was held for Rodney and we watched Ashley and Claire's last soccer games.

September memories

Levi was loving the rice cereal! Levi: "Oops, I made a little bit of a mess." :)

Hope College Community Day.

Dorian's bedtime Big Boy Sticker Page. This was a huge deal for a while. We were having a difficult time getting Dorian to stay in his bed at night. This sticker page eventually worked!

It was a sunny Saturday...probably the last one where it would be nice enough to wear shorts. We made a last minute decision to spend the morning at John Ball Zoo with the boys. Everyone had a fun time.

Hours of entertainment right out our front window. :)
