Little Farmers

What a blast to take both of the boys to the Critter Barn for Little Farmer's Camp!!!  They were both so comfortable around the animals and loved holding and feeding them.
 Bottle feeding little goats!

Levi has been pretending to be a kitty for the last few weeks, and Dorian thinks that he wants a cat for a pet someday.  :)
Gathering straw bedding for the sheep.
Proud to be holding a baby bunny all by themselves.

The baby chicks ate right out of their hands!

Miss Mary was the instructor and there only happened to be 4 boys in their class.

John Smith was the turkey that followed us around.  :)

Levi was watching Miss Mary feed worms to this little baby robin.
They were both excellent and I'm so glad that we were able to do this together!
Do you think they're ready for Iowa?

Father's Day

It was Sunday morning and the boys were so excited for daddy to find the gifts that they had hidden for him.
It was pretty funny, because each of the boys assumed that they were going to open the gifts that they had gotten for him.  :)

I had just done a very thorough cleaning of the interior of Nathan's van the day before and found out that his sunglasses only had one ear piece.  Certainly high time for new sunglasses!  He looks good!
We made daddy a homemade card and the boys were both so proud of what they had drawn.  :)

In the afternoon Nathan was working on fixing the step stool and it was so cute to see him working with Levi!
Silliness!  Do you like his heels?!!
After Levi woke up from his nap, we headed to Saugatuk Dunes State Park with a picnic supper to eat at the beach!  Very relaxing and enjoyable!!!

fun with the boys

Dorian is much better entertaining himself outside than inside.  One afternoon when I looked outside, I found that he had climbed up in our tree.  :)

One Sunday morning before church, the boys headed out on the deck with their hats on to do some writing.  For a few weeks they would frequently come in for their hats, a paper and something to write with.  Another thing that they were stuck on for a while was cutting grass ouside with their little scissors.  :)
Dorian can write MOM, DAD and DORIAN all on his own!

Yeah, another package in the mail for Levi's birthday!

Levi walked in from outside and was so excited and needed to show me his "apple tree".  I thought it was so CUTE.  :)  I don't think I've ever been that excited about a weed before.  :)
What FUN boys!!!!!  So glad that I get to spend most of my time with them.

Lemons to Lemonade

Friday, June 10
Our friends from church threw us an AWESOME, themed going-away party!!!!!  It makes it hard to think of moving away from them.  But...I'm trusting that God will provide for our need to have good friends once we move.  It had rained most of the day, but even though it was a little cold, it turned out to be a nice night to be outside.  Yeah! We had typically met about once a month with whomever could make it from church and it seemed like it had been a while since we had such a big group get together.  It was relaxing to chat with friends, eat delicious food, and watch the kids entertain themselves.  We also had our own little photo booth that was a riot!  :)  What fun memories!!!

thankful for friends

June 7:  The mom's from church attempt to get together a couple of times a month to talk and let the kids play.  :)  This time it was at a nearby park and it was HOT!  But it's always good to hang out with friends!  And we took along Dirt Cups to celebrate the birthdays.  Fun!

Jacob has come over to our house a few times this past year.  The boys just LOVE it when he comes over and they all play so nicely that I love having him here.  :)

Zack and Nick are the neighbors from across the street that frequently come over to play when the other kids are outside.  Dorian and Levi love to play with them too.  :)
Thankful that the boys have friends that they enjoy playing with here....and praying that will be the case in Sioux Center as well!

The Big Day: June 6

Levi is 3 years old!!!  And his quote for the morning (said with great excitement) was "I'm not 2 anymore!".  And Dorian replies, "He doesn't sound any different."  :)

We ate breakfast together and then headed to the basement to show Levi the new trampoline that Grandpa and Grandma Tintle had sent out for him.
Nathan went to work for the day.  We packed a lunch to eat at a park and the boys each picked out a birthday balloon at the Dollar Store.  After supper, we had a little celebration together as a family.
Mmm...brownies and ice cream in his Whitecaps baseball hat!

It was a beautiful evening.  Perfect for playing catch as a family in the backyard!!!
We LOVE you Levi!
