March 2022

Nathan took Levi to Sioux Falls to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Washington Pavilion!

They ended up staying overnight because the roads were too icy to drive home.  Levi enjoyed hot chocolate with his breakfast!
Mason had his first orchestra concert!
Dorian's science fair project with Christian and Kellan.  They did experiments on the effects of different fertilizer treatments on seedling growth in broccoli and spinach.

I made meals for people in our care group and enjoyed delivering them.

It's fun to put the bird feeders out and watch the birds come back again.
Happy 9th Birthday, Mason Jay!  We love you dearly and couldn't wait to celebrate your birthday with you!

Books about dogs and fish, fishing lures, the Dolphins, and playing Catan.  All things you love!
It was fun to have Mason's friend Liam over to play after school.
Cookie dough ice cream cake was on the dessert menu!
Levi worked hard on making a shiny pinewood derby racecar!  It turned out great!

Dorian is playing golf at Unity this Spring!  He was excited when the driving range opened up so he could start practicing.
Levi played the tenor saxophone at the Unity Band Festival.

Surprise!  Kerry, Heidi, and I planned a night away to Sioux Falls to celebrate mom's 70th birthday!
We enjoyed lunch at Minerva's, shopping downtown, and staying at Hotel Phillips.  It was a bank that they turned into a hotel so it was really pretty.

More delicious food...supper at Chef Lances.

The next morning we ate breakfast and stopped at our favorite store, Layered Elements, because they were having a sale.  We laughed together, and had fun finding some great deals.

After getting pedicures in the afternoon, we drove to Heidi's house for a family birthday party to celebrate Mom's 70th, Heidi's 40th, and Mason's 9th birthdays!
We had fun teasing Heidi about how old she was!

Yay! The dock is in at the cabin!  Now we are hoping for rain to bring the water levels back up!  There are only about 14 inches of water at the end of the dock.
Mason gave a speech about why there should be more PE in 3rd grade.  He did a great job!
I went along on the 7th grade field trip to the Omaha Zoo!

We got to eat our lunch while watching the penguins!

February 2022

Mason did a great job at his concert.

Dorian is in choir this semester so it was fun to go to his concert at Unity.
Nathan gave the boys an outing of their choice for Christmas and Mason picked going to Air Madness and to the Pizza Ranch buffet!  They had a lot of fun together in Sioux Falls.

Whew!  That was a hard puzzle.  Credit goes to Nathan and Mason for the vast majority of it.
We have a heated garage!  Excited to play ping pong in a warm garage when it was only 17 degrees outside!  That also means the vehicles aren't as cold, woodworking projects can happen during the winter, etc.  Winters are so cold here.
Mason had fun building the birdhouse that Grandpa and Grandma Tintle sent to him for Valentine's Day!
Levi really enjoyed his days of minimesters at school!  Oragami, drumline and robotics.

The boys had a couple of days off from school for President's Day weekend so we enjoyed some time as a family at the cabin.
Skiing for the day at Mount Kato was fun!

The boys went ice fishing on East Lake Okoboji with Paul and Jacob.

We spotted deer walking across the lake!

Ice fishing on Little Spirit Lake!  First time catching a fish through the ice on Little Spirit.  Nathan said he drilled about 70 holes!

Mason and Levi went swimming at Bridges Bay.
Woodworking projects are underway.  Levi is making a pinewood derby car.
Dorian is making book ends.

Thanks to Grandpa for sharing his tools and expertise with us!
Mason and Levi frequently have Bible verses to memorize.
I spent a day in Sioux Falls mostly waiting for work to be done on the Pilot.  Enjoyed coffee using the gift card Dorian gave me for Christmas!
The boys love their dog.
Mason enjoyed making a pinball game at school.
