Wrapping up October

October 25: The first snowfall of the season!  The boys were elated and wanted to immediately go outside to use their shovels.  :)  Since the snow on the driveway was melted they were having fun shoveling the deck!  It was fun and quite beautiful.  I'm also glad that it melted by later in the day.  :)
October 26: Grandparent's Day!!!  Dorian thought it was very special to have Grandpa and Grandma Tintle and Grandma Bolkema at Grandparent's Day.  We were excited to show them where both Dorian goes to Kindergarten and where Levi goes to preschool!  We think they have wonderful classrooms and wonderful teachers this year so it was fun to share our everyday lives with them.

Grandpa and Grandma Tintle came very late on Thursday night.  After their morning of visiting the boy's classrooms on Friday, we had a relaxing afternoon at home.  Grandma read the new book that Aunt Cara had sent along for Dorian's birthday.  She also made an adorable and yummy owl snack with the boys.  We decided to check out the Fall Soup Supper and then enjoyed some time visiting with my parents after that.  What an enjoyable day.

On Saturday morning, we sat around and ate breakfast together.  Then we decided to check out the water park in Storm Lake.
I couldn't decide which pictures to post since they were so fun to look at again.  :)  After arriving we discovered that the boys were both tall enough to ride the water slides and that was a hit!  They enjoyed the blue slide which is the one with the double tubes.
And they LOVED the green slide and discovered that they could do that one all by themselves!

For hours, the boys would ride down the water slide, immediately jump out once they got to the bottom and run right up the long flight of stairs to do it all over again.
They thought it was fun to get a high five when they were nearly to the end.

On Sunday, we had a relaxing and delicious breakfast and then went to the 10:30 worship service at Living Water.  After a quick lunch, Grandpa and Grandma needed to leave to get back to the airport for their flight back to New York.

October 31: Halloween
Dorian and Levi both wore their Super Hero capes and after Dorian told me that super heroes needed masks, I found some Batman masks at Walmart.  :)  They also had just made swords and shields at JAM (which is the Sunday School program that the boys have been attending on Sunday afternoons at Living Water) so they added that to their costume as well.
When Nathan got home from work we took the boys to the Hallelujah party where we ate supper and the boys played games (like hockey and bean bag toss).  They earned tickets which they could turn in for prizes or candy.

Levi was the most excited about his huge gummy snake.
