What a fun long weekend spent with the Bolkema family! Love it when we can all be together!
On Friday we took a long bike ride on the trails near the river. For this many people to all be able to ride together and stay safe was an answer to prayer. We found a fun park for the kids to play at and to eat rhe lunches that we packed.
Mason loves to ride in his bike trailer!
Dorian and Levi were excited that Uncle Brian brought some Canadian Smarties to share with everyone! Dorian stayed in the lead for our whole ride, but Levi needed some sugar to keep him going. :)
The hotel that we stayed at had a wonderful pool and very fun waterslide! Everybody spent countless hours there!
On Sunday morning we gathered for worship together. We sang a few songs, heard about Brian and Katherine's trip to Israel and saw their pictures, shared our favorite family verses, and Mom shared some of her favorite verses with the grandkids.
After lunch, each family traveled back home.
Nathan had a work trip to MI (July 7-10) so we spent one evening at City Park!
We met Grandma and Aunt Heidi, Aniah, Eden and Adria at the Sheldon pool!
Mason loved the little slide and Dorian and Levi loved the big slide!
Adria and Mason are good little buddies!
On Saturday the 11th, Nathan and I took the boys to Sioux City to go miniature golfing! On the way home we stopped at Wells Blue Bunny for ice cream!
And then we stopped in Maurice to find the famous Fire Slide. What a fun family day together!
Dorian's beans and Levi's corn are growing well!
Dad was able to join them as well!
One sunny, hot afternoon we picked up Eden and swam at the Sioux Center pool! Mason is a much better age than last year for the pool. All 3 boys love it.
Mason fell asleep in the shade during break time. :)
An early Saturday morning with Dad at Walmart.
July is exhausting. :) And we're having trouble figuring out Mason's sleep schedule. I think he just doesn't need as much sleep as he used to but it's throwing us off! Wishing that he still needed long afternoon naps and would go to sleep at 7:30 but that's just not the case right now. Maybe things will change once the boys are back in school...
Vacation Bible School was fun this year. I was able to be a crew leader for both Dorian and Levi!
Checking on the corn and beans before we leave on vacation for a week!
What else happened in July?
We went to a Magic Show at the library which inspired the boys to work on their own magic show at home.
Nathan finished his summer research program! What a great group of kids he had this year. We had fun having them over to our house a couple of times.
We got ready for our vacation to MN...which is my next blog post!
