We've enjoyed so many mild winter days that the ice on Sandy Hollow melted again. On the first day of Christmas break, Dorian found out that the pond at Willow Creek was iced over enough for ice fishing.

The boys were surprised that we got them VR headsets!
It's so pretty when everything is covered with a thin layer of ice.
The boys were excited to watch Grandpa and Grandma play the VR headsets! We had fun celebrating Grandpa's birthday with us.
We spent a few nights with the boys at the cabin over Christmas break. We worked on a couple of puzzles, played games, went to an escape room and a golf simulator, read books on the comfy couches, and checked trail cams. We also really enjoyed listening to the slushy water which sounded like the ocean, watching the ice chunks drift by in the wind, and seeing a few eagles right out our window. It was relaxing and enjoyable!
