Dorian was in his element sitting outside and reading quietly.
Levi was in his element playing with the singing gorilla. :)
We took a walk to Crandall's beach.
They all had fun finding rocks, sticks and other treasures!
We even took out the fishing poles!
Levi had his last day at AWANA and we all had a good time at the Family Fun Night.
Nathan traded in his truck and this is his new ride! Now we fit comfortably in it as a family and it will drive much better on the ice in the winter!
The boys were great helpers raking leaves at the cabin!
Levi went across the street to have quiet time to write his own song. :) Made Nathan and I both smile!
Mason thought the Spirit Lake Fish Hatchery was too smelly, but the rest of us enjoyed seeing all of the big fish!
I walked past the sunroom and this is what I saw! Mason was playing a game with Molly and taking her turns for her! I'm quite surprised that she just stayed there the entire game!
Mason is learning how to swim at swimming lessons.

We decided to fly out to New York over Easter break!
We arrived safely at the Newark airport with 4 suitcases, 4 backpacks, 1 car seat, 1 purse, 1 laptop, and 3 energized boys ready to have a fun week!
It was a blessing to visit with Grandpa and Grandma Tintle at their house!
Levi really liked the lift chair!

Nathan was excited to have hot dogs from a hot dog stand!
It was a cool day, but sunny and beautiful. How fun to see a tulip blooming!

Mason was wore out so we sat for a while to let him take a short nap.
It was a new adventure for the boys to ride the subway.
The Empire State Building!
Supper with a view.
Times Square. Levi found the Levi's store!
It was a little nerve wracking making sure the boys didn't get lost in the crowds.
Driving back to our hotel and watching the skyline all lit up!
Friday we drove to The New Winsor Cantonment which was George Washington's headquarters. Levi really wanted to see a musket!
The boys were having a battle of their own with sticks!
And then they found so many sticks that they loved, we had to take some along with us!
We drove to the house where George Washington stayed which overlooked the Hudson River.
Friday afternoon we went to Grandpa and Grandma Tintle's house. Mason couldn't wait to play Uno with Bruno!

Levi liked the truck that Aunt Jillian is on.
Dying Easter eggs with Grandma.
Saturday was Preston and Jillian's wedding shower.

Sunday was Easter! The boys and Maddie had another Easter Egg hunt.
We went to an outdoor Easter service which others participated in, including Grandma and Levi.
In the afternoon we played a game of whiffle ball in the backyard.
Monday we drove to the Statue of Liberty with Grandpa and Grandma.
The original torch.
Dorian and Levi being silly.
On the plane and headed back home.
We'll take an evening like this any night!
Dorian had fun at the Cadet auction.
Mason and I went with his preschool friends to the Police Station and the Post Office.
I went along with Levi on his field trip to the Butterfly House!
Nathan and Levi went out to the cabin and were excited that the dock was in on Big Spirit Lake!
The boys had a half day of school so we went bowling with friends in the afternoon.
Mason bowled nearly the entire game by himself!
Grandma Bolkema turned 90 years old on April 28 and all of her children, grandchildren and great grand children came to celebrate! We stayed overnight at the hotel in Sheldon and the boys got in plenty of hours swimming. We also had a bridal shower for Justin and Katie and played some fun shower games.
Great is Thy Faithfulness was a fitting song to sing in church that weekend!
Through the good times and the challenging times, we always know that God is faithful.
