June 2018

Mason and Mom Time
Nathan, Dorian, and Levi spent June 1-6 on their fishing trip to Canada so Mason and I enjoyed doing some fun things together while they were gone.

We had a fun afternoon at the pool!  I took Mason down the water slides.  He found Adria and had fun jumping in the water and across the lily pads!

We went along with Grandpa and Grandma to Sioux Falls and joined the Lamfers family to go out to eat.  Then Ashley showed us her pictures from her trip to Europe.  Mason enjoyed playing with his cousins and also with Macey and Bridget.

We went to the park for Sioux Center Celebration Days. Mason found many fun inflatables.

We had a quiet afternoon and Mason fell asleep with Molly on the couch.  Precious.
We joined Heidi and her girls to watch the Celebration Parade!

We enjoyed our afternoon at the Sioux Falls Zoo!

We played a round of miniature golf and Mason got to ride on the bumper boats!

Happy 10th Birthday, Levi!!!
It felt very strange not to have you home on your actual birthday (it was the day you were traveling back from your fishing trip).  But we had a fun party the next day!  The Bolkema's came with gifts for you to open!
Ten hands for your 10th birthday!

Thanks for the bocce ball game Grandpa and Grandma!

We thought you'd love a remote controlled speed boat.  :)
Aunt Heidi found another penguin to add to your penguin family!  Aunt Kerry gave you a Fishing themed Monopoly game!

At your request, I made a chocolate cake with white frosting!  Oh, and added Oreos, M&Ms and 10 CANDLES to blow out!

You spent many hours playing with your new presents in the days that followed.  It was cute to see that your new penguin joined you to play Fish-opoly!
You played many rounds of Bocce ball outside and enjoyed the paint by number that Grandpa and Grandma gave to you!
You love your new red ripstick.  Thank you Grandpa and Grandma Tintle!
Thanks to Aunt Suzanne for sending you this golf practice set so now you can practice at home!
Tether Ball
The tether ball was a Christmas gift from Grandpa and Grandma Tintle so the boys were excited to have it put up!  We had some fun family competition in the backyard!  Love nights like that!

Camps and Lessons
Mason took swimming lessons from Ms. Paige this year and did an awesome job!

Mason also enjoyed  going on hikes and learning about animals at his 2 day camp at Oak Grove!
Dorian and Levi took tennis lessons.  Mason went to a Mini-Sports camp.  Levi started cello lessons with a new teacher.  Levi started PGA Jr. League golf.  Nathan's research students started and we enjoyed hosting them at our house a couple of different times.  That was enough to keep us all busy!

Fishing with Dad
Nathan told Mason that he would take him fishing at the cabin since he didn't get to go along on the fishing trip to Canada.  They netted a big, nearly dead, carp.
 Mason caught a fish!!!
 They found a sunbathing turtle.
They went on a few rides at Arnold's Park!

Dorian had spent a night with Jaden at his cabin and joined them the next day.
Levi and I joined up with them the day after that.  Levi couldn't wait to try out his new remote controlled boat!
We were excited to join Paul and Amy for a boat ride!  Dorian remembered how to ski and looked like a pro!

Father's Day
It was a beautiful morning and it was precious to see Nathan relaxing on the dock drinking coffee and pointing out some fish swimming nearby to Mason.

Fishing again!
I took the boys to the cabin overnight a day before Nathan joined us.  The boys had fun fishing and I had fun taking pictures of them!

Levi picked a flower for me!  How sweet of him!

Mower Rides
I took the boys to Grandpa and Grandma's house one afternoon/evening.  Dorian helped Grandpa mow the lawn.  Mower rides are quite a hit!  Heidi and her girls joined us for hot dogs and s'mores over the campfire!  What fun memories.
