Spring Instrumental Concert
It is always a joy for me to watch Levi play the cello and saxophone and to watch Dorian play percussion.
Lures
How creative! Dorian and Levi worked together on making homemade fishing lures! I was impressed. This was Dorian's finished product.
Dorian also designed his own lure using the 3D printer at school!
Community Builder
Mason was given the assignment to think of a way to bless others and write about it. He chose to shovel our neighbors driveway! How sweet!
What???
March 12 was the first time I was slightly concerned about what the new coronavirus was and if it was going to affect me. The days that followed had me more and more concerned about the impact it would have on our family.
After we sent the boys to bed on Sunday night March 15 we found out that they were closing the school building for 4 weeks. So we decided to make things fun for them in the morning and give them clues to solve the puzzle which read: You have no school for four weeks!
We had 2 days which felt like snow days. Dorian and Levi were busy making a Lego robotics machine that would solve a rubix cube!
March 18 was our first day of learning from home! We set up desk spaces for each of the boys.
Nathan had gone on another work trip to Arizona about 2 weeks prior, but was now working each day from home.
We allowed the boys to play with friends at our house and only outside but made sure that they washed their hands when they came in!
The coronavirus was spreading and it felt much like the game Pandemic!
Although there were so many unknowns, having school, church and all associated activities cancelled gave us a lot of time with our boys! Nathan finished up the read aloud, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, he was reading with Levi and Mason and then we watched the movie together.
We were extremely thankful for our cabin as a place to get away since everything else around us was closed!
Happy Birthday
Mason is 7!!! What a precious gift he is to our family!
Mason was so excited for his birthday! He made a paper chain countdown at the beginning of the month!
"Yay! Today is my 7th birthday! It's the last chain."
He was really excited about his new Lego sets and spent a lot of time building them!
Because we were in quarantine, we were unable to invite family over for his party. So we had to make face time calls instead!
Dorian, Levi and Mason had fun playing the Wii together and having a Nerf gun battle!
Packet #1
The first packet from school was overwhelming. With 3 boys in school, we had 3 different learning plans to figure out! I was extremely grateful that I was able to be home full time to assist with their learning.
We had beautiful Spring weather and enjoyed many days at the cabin.
The dock was in already!
We were even able to do work/school work from the cabin at times.
