Easter in NY

April 2-6
Friday
Our flights went well until we were just about to land in Newark and Mason got motion sick.  After we landed he was feeling better and Grandpa Tintle was there to pick us up.

Grandma made a delicious supper and a brownie cake with peanut butter icing for dessert to celebrate Mason's 8th birthday!

Saturday
It was a sunny and chilly day to head out for a walk at Minnewaska State Park.  What a beautiful spot!

Grandpa picked out NY style sandwiches to take along for a picnic lunch.
Mason loves to play fetch with Bruno!
We had fun dying Easter eggs together!

Sunday
Happy Easter!  We started the morning with an Easter egg hunt!

Dorian and Levi continued working on the fort they started building.  They used a hatchet to chop down some trees and picked up a lot of sticks that had already fallen.
The boys played some wiffle ball.

All ready to go to church!

He is risen indeed!
Mason found a magnifying glass and spent many hours using dried leaves and starting little fires.  It was somewhat unsettling but thankfully no forest fires were started and nobody got hurt!
Nathan, Dorian and Mason went for a walk in the woods through Grandpa and Grandma's property.

Monday
We decided that it would be fun to go to a Yankee's game in NYC.  However, in order to go, we needed to have a negative COVID test in hand.  It worked out great because after getting tested and finding out that we were all healthy, we got to visit Great Grandma Tintle!  What a blessing to see her again!

Todd was there and was happy to let the boys sit up in the Tintle's Moving Co trucks!

We made it to the Yankee Stadium!

Shortly after sitting down we were excited to be shown on the big screen!
The Yankees beat the Orioles 7 to 0!

Tuesday
The boys soaked up their last morning at Grandpa and Grandma's house petting and playing fetch with Bruno, building forts and fires, playing wiffle ball, playing board games, and eating more delicious food!

We will treasure the memories we made together!
