Lake Life
We were so excited to spend time together at the cabin! Dorian and I put the fishing boat in the water for the first time on our own. The boys had fun catching fish! Mason spent hours on the beach making ponds and rivers for minnows to swim in. Levi took out the hammock to enjoy the beautiful weather.
I'm so thankful for a thoughtful husband and our 3 thoughtful boys!
Levi made a delicious snack mix.
Mason wrote 10 sweet things he loved about me.
Dorian designed and made an herb garden!
School Events
It was so much fun to sing and dance with Mason at his school's Folk Celebration.
Dorian worked hard on his presentation about making improvements at Sandy Hollow.
Mason went on a field trip to Wells Blue Bunny. Yum.
They also went to the park in Orange City to look at the windmills and play.
We loved watching Dorian play soccer. It was a great season with a great group of boys!
Mason went to the Great Plains Zoo with his class.
Levi ran a relay and did the shotput at the Trailblazer Track Meet.
Tulip Festival
We decided to spend an evening at the Tulip Festival since we couldn't remember the last time we'd been there! We watched the parade.
Levi heard from his friends at school that the Screamer was a great ride. He was the only one in our family that wanted to ride it, so he did! Brave kid!
The boys had a good time with the bumper cars.
The tulips I planted in the Fall looked beautiful!
Crappie
It must have been fun catching crappie!
Talent Days
Busy Saturday
Soccer and a track meet in one day. Mason did both the 50 and the 200 yard dash as well as the long jump.
Mason decided that he would share about fishing during talent day. He showed them some lures and also his Master Angler Award.
Choir and Instrumental Concert
Levi sang in the boys choir and their enthusiasm was super impressive!
Levi also played his cello in orchestra and the tenor saxophone in band. Love it that he loves music.
Dorian did a fabulous job playing percussion in band. Loved hearing his snare drum part in Hogan's Heroes March.
Grandpa and Grandma love coming to your concerts too!
Off to the final program of the year! It's been so fun having them all at the same school for a few years!
Skip Day
Sioux Center Rec Soccer
Great soccer season boys! You played well and enjoyed being a part of the team!
Cello
Mason decided that he'd like to learn how to play cello! Levi is excited to play with him.
I enjoyed spending the day with the 8th grade class at Air Madness, Pizza Ranch, and the Rock Valley park.
Last Day of School/Graduation Day
My favorite part of the 8th grade chapel was watching the video of the kids throughout their years at SCCS. I had to work very hard not to cry. It's bittersweet to see how much Dorian's grown so quickly.

2nd, 6th, and 8th grades completed! It's been a crazy year with COVID mitigations but surprisingly quite normal compared to most schools. Summer vacation, here we come!!!
We enjoyed having Grandpa and Grandma Tintle and Grandpa and Grandma Bolkema over in the afternoon for cupcakes and supper before graduation.

Dorian did a great job creating a Faith Book at school! Loved seeing his school pictures from Kindergarten through 8th grade!
Nearly a Teenager
We enjoyed an early celebration for Levi's 13th Birthday so we could celebrate in person with Grandpa and Grandma Tintle while they were visiting.
Memorial Day
Thankful the Saarloos family could join us for a day at the lake!
