We have always ended up celebrating the boys birthdays multiple different times. This time it was a one day celebration! Before Nathan left for work, we gave Levi a gift from us. A big 2 wheel bike with training wheels! I have to say that it made me a little sad to buy this for him since it made him seem like he was getting too big, too fast. He was very excited about it, but a little nervous when he sat on it.
A few days later I went out into the garage to find Dorian helping Levi learn to ride his new bike. Dorian was giving him little pushes to get going and encouraging him. It was a beautiful sight. Levi can now ride in our garage where the cement is level. He is very proud of himself!
Levi's favorite place to eat is Culvers so Nathan met us there for lunch so he could get chicken nuggets, french fries, chocolate milk and ketchup. His favorite meal at his favorite restaurant. :)
A few days ago he asked if we could eat at Culvers again. (I think he could smell the broccoli cooking. :) I told him that we didn't have money for eating at Culvers tonight so he suggested that I buy some dollars. :)
In the afternoon the boys put on their bathing suits and went out to play with the neighbors. We had just filled our little pool with a few inches of water and the neighbors were filling their pool and setting up their slip-n-slide. It was a relaxing and fun afternoon!
In the evening, we celebrated with Grandma, Mom and Dad, Kerry, Ryan and Heidi and our kids. It was so special to have them over at our house on his birthday! I know Levi LOVED it.
We just had hot dogs, chips and fruit for supper. Levi was glad that grandpa was willing to share his last few chips! :)
Levi offered to help with clean-up after supper since it would mean that he could open his presents faster. :) He could hardly wait.
As usual, it was fun to watch Levi's enthusiasm while opening his gifts!
Yeah! I got to hold Adria for the first time! The picture that I took with her didn't turn out, but Claire looks super proud to be holding her as well. :)
I was excited to make Levi a Tow Mater cake! His favorite shirt to wear this summer has been his Tow Mater shirt. :)
After blowing out his candles, I was very surprised that Levi wasn't the least bit interested in eating any of his cake, or the ice cream. What kid doesn't eat their own birthday cake????? But I wasn't going to make him. :) He just headed off to play with his new toys and his cousins.
I had set out a bunch of toys on the lawn thinking that it would be fun to play some games outside. Dorian wore his favorite shirt for the party as well, which has Mario on it. :) Love this picture of him!
The kids really loved playing baseball with Nathan and Grandpa!!!!!
Eden spotted a baby bird that could walk, but couldn't fly. She was following it around and talking to it. :) Then Levi comes along with his new Nerf gun to shoot at it. Is that the difference between boys and girls? We informed him not to hurt the helpless little bird, but they did continue to follow it around.
Levi had a super fun day, and it looks like he's getting tired in this picture. Time for our little 4 year old to get some sleep.
What a blessing he is to our family! Happy birthday Little Man.
