Friday was Grandparent's Day at SCCS. Dorian and Levi had been looking forward to that day for weeks!!! How special it was that Grandpa and Grandma Bolkema, Great Grandma Bolkema, and Grandpa and Grandma Tintle could all be there! My little boys are SO blessed to have such wonderful and supportive and loving grandparents. And I'm so thankful for SCCS; that my boys have loving Christian teachers that care not only about my kids, but also about their families. We all enjoyed eating lunch together since there was an early dismissal. And then Grandpa and Grandma Tintle took the boys swimming, had pizza at our house for supper, and had Dorian and Levi stay overnight with them at the hotel. Nathan arrived back home after being gone for 4 days late on Friday night.
On Saturday morning, Dorian was excited to open the present that Grandpa and Grandma brought out for his birthday. Oh my, it was the remote controlled helicopter that he had been wanting! We all had fun figuring out how it worked!
In the afternoon we went to Sioux City to a Nature Center that we'd never been to before. It was a sunny, cool day perfect for taking a walk and seeing some animals. I'm excited to take the boys to that spot again sometime. Then we ate supper at a Japanese restaurant where they cooked in front of you, which the older boys thought was fun.
This morning we spent about an hour together before we took off for church and Mom and Dad Tintle left to catch their flight out of Sioux Falls. We had to bribe our boys to take a nice picture with Grandpa and Grandma, but I'm thankful that we did. How special!
Levi had fun trying out the helicopter and Dorian is mastering this new skill. It's a lot of fun to watch.
Grandma likes to play games with the boys.
The weekend went by quickly, but we enjoyed our time together!
