Life is certainly not boring at our house! We are trying to embrace this busy time in our lives and enjoy it together as a family.
That was what I wrote on my last entry when I wrote about Easter weekend. Yup. I'm that far behind and life continues to be crazy busy with many routine things. I think the biggest challenge is keeping up with Mason who has a short attention span and is into everything, constantly. But he's healthy and developing as he should and for that we are so very thankful!
Speaking of Easter weekend...I forgot to post these 2 photos of our boys in the airport on the way home from New York. Aren't they adorable! They loved the moving walkways! :)
Congrats to my friend Tammy on earning her Master's Degree from Dordt! It was fun to see her and celebrate with her.
Mason loves matchbox cars! He loved them in May when I took this picture and he still loves them. It's absolutely adorable when he says, vroom, vroom while playing.
Levi had a program to show us many of the songs that they sang in TK. It was a joy to see how comfortable Levi was and how much fun he had performing for everyone!!! What a blessing that he feels free to be who God made him to be even while in front of 100 people. He was so excited. It also showed us that he really did have a great teacher and great friends.
As you can see, Levi is on his tippy toes because he is bubbling over with excitement!
Levi received the smart cookie award for his ability to soak up so much in the classroom. She thinks that someday he may be a scientist and cure cancer. I sure hope so little buddy.
I remember the first time that I found you (Mason) on top of this little table. It was kind of cute. But I also knew that it opened up a whole new world for you. And for the past few months you've climbed on kitchen chairs, tables, couches, etc. many, many times. You've just learned to sit when we tell you to so we're working on using chairs for sitting only and not as ladders. :)
I LOVE to see Mason entertaining himself and I thought it was especially cute when he climbed into the toy bin. :)
Levi, on occasion, will play piano and try to read the music!
I taught Mason to turn around on his belly and slide down the steps. Yeah...we don't need a gate anymore!!!
There is one sleepy little boy at lunchtime. Definitely time for a nap!
I was super excited to have flowers planted by Mother's Day. I'm not great at keeping flowers alive so I just planted 3 pots. I also figured I'd have one curious little boy this summer who would want to pull them out instead of look at them. Keeping it simple!
If fills me up to see Nathan playing outside with the boys. Precious!
I was showered with love for Mother's Day.
Mason loves to walk Molly. In fact, he still does. On occasion he will walk all around the house and Molly just follows him around. I think it's good for both of them. :)
Dorian played Spring Soccer and Nathan was one of the coaches! Dorian loved every minute of it!
Enjoying a family bike ride to Children's Park.
Mason discovered that he can go down the slides all by himself. And now he also goes down the slide on our playset in the backyard! He's getting so big!
Levi had a very exciting last day of TK. He went to Culvers for a tour and ice cream, ate lunch with me at the park, and watched Frozen.
Summer has arrived! School is finished. The umbrella is up, the water table is out, and freezy pops are served!
Nathan found some fun dance music after supper one night and the boys couldn't get enough of it! The Chicken Dance was probably their favorite. I love how Mason is just peeking around the bar stool at them and watching every move!
Memorial Day was spent enjoying everything from Grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins to the cat Toby, the Gator, and a game of baseball!
When the battery was running low on the Gator, Mason was happy to push it. :)
Thank you Grandma for the special quilts that you made for Mason and Dorian. Now all 3 boys have one to cuddle with!
I rode to Orange City and back on my bike (woohoo!) and my boys were happy to meet me there to get donuts and play in the park!
