Weekend of the 4th
Over the weekend of the 4th of July, we enjoyed some time at our cabin!
Spending an afternoon at Crandall's Beach kind of reminded us of Holland State Park.

Tyler and Janelle took us boating and tubing one afternoon!  Super fun.  Everyone had a turn tubing.

Mason fell asleep.  Sweet little boy.

 July 4

There were little bullhead babies swimming by our dock so that provided hours of entertainment for Mason.

We ended the day and our long weekend with a few fireworks.

Oak Grove

Levi had the opportunity to go with 2 friends to a class at Oak Grove!

It was a lot of fun to take Dorian and Levi golfing at The Ridge family golf night.  They got to show off the skills they learned from golf lessons this summer.  :)

Anniversary
We were thankful that Mom and Dad could watch our boys for a night so we could spend the day together relaxing at the cabin for our anniversary!  While having breakfast on the deck, a large flock of geese walked on the neighbors lawn...until their dog came out!

We enjoyed a long, peaceful kayak ride together.

The boys were finished eating their supper and eating s'mores when we arrived to pick them up.  :)

Another cabin weekend
Dorian went to the lakes with Jaden for a night so we went with just Levi and Mason.  Levi was reading with Molly on his lap and Mason was looking at books with a huge basket of stuffed animals that he wanted to take along!  I love it when we get to spend time with either one or two of the kids at a time.

Nathan and Dorian were the first to visit the donut shop we wanted to try out.  The times we've driven by, there was a huge line out the door so we figured it must be good.  :)  Now it was our turn.  Delicious!

Because it was such a calm day, Nathan wanted to try putting his boat in on Big Spirit Lake.  Success!  We enjoyed a long boat ride around the whole lake.

The pelicans were sitting on the rocks again on Little Spirit Lake!

Mason learned how to kayak!  He surprised us because we thought he was years away from learning that!

Glasses
Dorian found out this summer that he'd be needing glasses for school this year.  Doesn't he look good!

Paper
Dorian, Jaden and Levi have been making many cool things out of paper.  Check out their race track!

Oreo
Levi bought a leash for Oreo which has opened up more possibilities for him!  Now we know that Oreo likes longboarding.  :)
