January 2018

Preschool Poster
Mason did a great job filling out his It's All About Mason poster for preschool.  He is 4 years old.  He lives in Sioux Center, Iowa.  He wants to be a firefighter.  His friends are Madalin and Oliver.  His favorite foods are candy, yogurt, pizza and eggs.  His favorite book is The Lost Puppy.  His favorite color is green.  His pet is Molly.
He shared his poster with his class!
I hope he always knows that God designed him to be just the way that he is!
Sledding
I met Janey, Brady, Addi and Levi Boogerd at the Alton sledding hill one Sunday afternoon.  We had heard it was a fun place to go sledding but we hadn't ever been there before.  The boys loved it!
Air Madness
We had a fun Friday night at Air Madness with the same group of friends!

Dorian and Brady like a good competition!
Jason Visits
We enjoyed having Jason over for a Sunday lunch!
Puzzles
Mason has been loving puzzles and he's done these 48 and 100 piece puzzles over and over many times!
First Time Skiing
Nathan and I took the boys to Great Bear and, after skiing lessons, all 3 of them learned how to ski!!!
We went down a couple of times together while the boys were in lessons!

5th Grade Friday
Dorian joined Brady and his family on a 5th Grade Friday Skiing night at Great Bear.  They were going to take lessons, but as it turned out, Dorian ended up teaching Brady how to ski!
Days at Home
The boys were scheduled to have days off from school on the 22nd and 23rd. But, then a blizzard came through on Monday the 22nd and so it was kind of fun to all be home together.  However, Mason had a  fever and was not feeling well.  Then he passed it on to his brothers and they each missed some school that week.

Preschool Fun
Mason enjoyed having 3 high school basketball players come to talk to his class!
Nice basketball jersey!  Loved seeing that in the hallway when I picked him up!

More Puzzles
Nice work finishing your puzzles boys!!!
Dorian and Levi finished the puzzles we brought back from London and gave to them for Christmas! Way to be persistent!

The M&M puzzle was reversible!
We challenged Mason to trying a 200 piece puzzle and he did it!  All by himself!  Nice work, buddy.
Travel
Nathan had 3 work trips in consecutive weeks.  Jan 3-5 in Washington DC.  Jan 10-12 in San Diego.  Jan 17-18 to Chicago and Washington DC.  It wasn't ideal, but we now have a few more frequent flyer miles saved up!
