4. Sweatshirts, jeans and socks

5. Picking out pumpkins

6. Burning Fall candles

7. Watching the leaves change color

8. Driving by golden fields

9. Crock pot meals

10. Organizing at home for a new season

It was a challenge to come up with 10 things I love about Fall because I was sad that summer was ending.  But I'm thankful I did because it gave me a better perspective.  I want to embrace the season that I'm in and find joy in the little things each day!

I'm enjoying being at stay-at-home mom again.  Nathan was heading to the cabin to enjoy some uninterrupted work time and was halfway there when I realized he forgot the food that he packed.  I had the time to hop in the car and meet him with it.  He surprised me with these beautiful Fall flowers which I really appreciated.  Since I was in Sheldon, I decided to stop to see if my parents were home.  I ended up having coffee with my mom.

I decided to have a garage sale mainly to give me motivation to clear out the clutter in our house.  Mom and Dad came to help and join me so it was a fun project!  My next goal was to do some much needed cleaning around the house.

Spirit Lake
The sunsets and sunrises are beautiful every time!
Mason caught a bass!
Pictures from school
Mason's class looks good in their chapel shirts!
Mason walked with his class to the Dordt Prairie to look for insects.
Dorian learned about the constitution and some kids really got into their red, white and blue day.
Flag Football
Mason learned how to play flag football and we enjoyed the 5 Thursday nights of watching him!  He really made a lot of progress from week to week.

Archery
Levi has been wanting for a long time to learn more about hunting.  He finished taking the Hunter Safety Course this past summer and Nathan decided to jump in and get a bow.  Since Levi is left eye dominant, he found out that it really didn't work to share Nathan's, so Levi ended up getting his own, in part, with the money that he earned from weed whacking lawns.

Sandy Hollow has a shooting range so Nathan and Levi showed Dorian and Grandpa how it worked!

Livian Cianeh
On September 14, Livian was born so we have a new little niece/cousin! Congratulations Jackson and Heidi. She is beautiful and so tiny!

Weekends are for having fun
A shopping day with Janey almost always includes eating a pretzel and Dr. Pepper at Auntie Anne's.  This time we drove to the Omaha outlets for something different.
Nathan took the boys to the cabin.  Fishing and hunting were on their agenda.

Fields of Fun
Nathan was working at the cabin and got to see a large flock of pelicans swimming over and looking for fish!  The rest of us were home and went to Fields of Fun for the night.  We conquered the corn maze, fed the animals, and picked out pumpkins!

Hunting
There is a lot to learn!

Looking good Levi!  It was the first time anyone in our house wore camo!
Our friends Paul and Jacob kindly let Nathan and Levi use their tree stands!  They left very early in the morning to get set up and situated before sunrise.
Thankful for the time that Nathan and Levi get to spend together learning a new sport.
Walks
Love it when the boys want to come along on walks.  It calls for a stop at the park to play!
