Wednesday
Our first stop was at the Chamberlain rest area in South Dakota.
Thursday
Love the roads with tunnels in the Black Hills!Nathan, Dorian, and Mason hiked up Black Elk Peak. We were thankful that, despite his sprained ankle, Levi was able to walk well enough to hike around and canoe on Sylvan Lake with me. What a beautiful day!
What a view from the top!
Friday
The boys went fly fishing for the first time and, with the guides help, caught many trout! I enjoyed watching them!
We went to Bear Country.
Even the bears were hot on that 100 degree sunny summer afternoon!
The boys found a fun place to take a picture when we were downtown finding a place for supper!
Saturday
We took a chair lift up to a viewing platform where we could see Mount Rushmore! Then we rode alpine slides down! That was a first for all of us.
The boys had fun playing 500 at the hotel pool that they had to themselves!
We went on a trail ride!
The trail ride ended with a delicious dinner and a show that we all enjoyed.
A great view of Black Elk Peak.
Sunday was our day to drive back home.
Thankful for the time we could spend together trying new things, and enjoying God's beautiful creation!
