July 2022

Celebrating the 4th of July weekend!

The annual Village Celebration in Sheldon!

Kerry and her family were camping at Marble Beach so we joined them for an afternoon!
Mason behind the wheel and eating snacks.  Watch out!
Grandpa and Dorian fishing.
Getting ready for fireworks over Big Spirit Lake!

4th of July at Cutty's!
Mason is a great gardener!

Levi was playing PGA Jr. League golf and had just started working his first job at Corteva when he ended up with a high ankle sprain and was in a lot of pain.  So the month that followed looked a bit different for him.  Poor kid.
Having fun at the Maurice park.
Mason was in the greased pig contest!  What a crazy event! It happens every year in Sioux Center, but it was our first year there!

Josiah, Mason, Bo and Lucas.

Out on the water!

Our church is welcoming families from Ukraine who fled after the war started.  We had the privilege of welcoming the Vininchenko family who have 3 boys around the ages of our boys.  We are able to communicate with the google translate app and the boys connect by playing video games!
We spent the 20th-24th in the Black Hills.

We bought a different cabin!  The main reason was to move off of the busy road that the boys were crossing more and more each year.  We are so excited!
Our first job to tackle was getting a new dock.

July 27: My first day at our new cabin and also my birthday!
A rain shower came through just as we were eating supper and then the rest of the evening was beautiful outside!  The boys really enjoyed making a fire down by the water!

Mikayla and Caden were visiting so Dorian and Mason were able to join them along with Grandpa and Grandma at Arnold's Park.  Levi was at Power Connection with his youth group from church.

Ivan and Misha Vininchenko spent the day with us after Bogdan broke his arm and was in the hospital.

Also that same weekend, we packed up everything in our cabin, cleaned every corner of it, staged it, and found out we had a showing before it even was set to go on the market!  It was an answer to prayer that it sold within 36 hours of being on the market.  On to new adventures!
