October 2022

It was time to pick the pumpkins from the garden!  Nice work Mason.
The boys had a couple of days off from school for Tri-State weekend.  Dorian had just had his wisdom teeth removed so we spent the long weekend at the cabin relaxing and recovering.
The lake was filled with coots which were fun to watch.

Looking back, the summer was chaotic at times.  Dorian worked at No Streaking 3 days a week and continues working most Saturdays now that school has started.  Having down time was so nice for all of us.  I finally felt like our new cabin was settled enough to take pictures inside!  Love how it already feels cozy.
The boys love the huge comfortable couches and TV so much that they don't mind having to all share the bunk room to sleep.  I love the huge windows so we have great lake views.
Love the huge entryway.
Love having a washer and dryer and utility room that's now organized!
Love the quiet street behind the cabin, the cornfield for a view and a grassy front yard by the lake!

Levi and Mason in the tree stand.

Happy 16th Birthday, Dorian!!!  The biggest change is knowing that you can drive anywhere with your license and not just to school!  We hope you'll love the freedom that comes with that and pray always for your safety wherever the Lord leads you.

There was YPS and Cadets on the night of Dorian's birthday.  Dorian visited some people who live at Crown Point.  Dorian, you have always been compassionate and that was evident after talking with you about your night.
Levi and his Cadet group learned about grilling.  Nathan is a great teacher and Levi loved every minute of it!
The storage unit is finished!  We decided to buy it in May when the construction had just begun and it's finally finished and functional.

The 8th graders launching rockets for Cadets.

Levi had a really fun day at the Youth Pheasant Hunt! Nathan was able to walk along with them.

Love your enthusiasm Levi and proud of you for getting your first pheasant!
I'm sure my hands would be shaking too.

Mason and I went to Fields of Fun to get pumpkin spice donuts, see the animals and walk through the small maze.  We took home a wood fired pizza to share for lunch!  What a beautiful Fall morning.

We had fun celebrating Janey's 40th birthday!

Clover didn't love the cone she had to wear after being spayed.  And it was especially hard for her to see because she desperately needed to be groomed!
Nathan and I were able to spend a couple of nights at our cabin together while Dad and Mom took care of the boys for us!
