After a 14 hour driving day, we arrived safely at the lake house in New York! After a good night of sleep, we were ready to sit back and relax in the water. Dorian and Levi were so excited to see Grandpa and Grandma. Thankfully the weather cooperated and even though it wasn't always bright and sunny, we had time every day to swim, and go boating and tubing.
It was a lot of fun to watch the boys on the inflatable airplanes that had built in water guns! :) What fun toys! Suzanne came later that night.
On Friday morning we went to a Transportation Museum and the boys were most impressed with watching the toy trains!
We were excited to take the canoe out as a family. The boys were super excited about paddling, but that didn't last too long.
Then the boys started getting more creative and tied the inflatable boat to the canoe. The best set up is when the boys were both in the canoe, pulling Nathan. :)
While it rained outside, we had a relaxing afternoon reading and playing games. Jillian arrived and we all had a nice grilled steak dinner that evening.
On Saturday morning, we went out for a boatride all together.
Aunt Suzanne with Levi and Dorian...so sweet!
Nathan had to show us his moves!
Dorian really wanted to go tubing again and tried it, but it was too choppy.
Levi was enjoying the boatride...just not having to take so many pictures. :)
Levi thought it was hilarious to take a picture of Grandpa while he was napping. :) Needless to say his nap was cut a little short.
We went out to eat in the evening.
Sunday was another day of boating, tubing and swimming!
On Levi's first ever tubing experience, we got pulled under the water. He didn't seem super scared, but it took a lot of convincing to get him to go on again. But he did!
It was a beautiful afternoon!!!
This is the bedroom where we stayed.
The kitchen and living area.
After Aunt Jillian played soccer with the boys, they both wanted to sit next to her when it was time to eat! :)
The boys wanted to swim one last time before heading back home.
There was a debate about what we were going to have for dessert since we hadn't yet been to Creamie's for ice cream and we hadn't yet had smores over a campfire...so we did both! Yeah!
We left during the night after a few hours of sleep and pretty much just drove straight back...for 25 hours!
What a great trip!
